Rafter JB Ranch was established in 2005, and is located in Southwest Kansas, near Garden City. It is owned and managed by Brock and Jennifer Baker. Rafter JB Ranch focuses on Quarter Horses, Corrientes, and Braunviehs. Our equine program involves raising and training Quarter Horses with the versatility and ability to compete in all areas of competition and perform daily ranch work. Our cattle program is divided into Corriente roping cattle and Braunvieh beef cattle. Roping cattle are mainly of Corriente breeding with some Watusi and Longhorn influence. We strive to raise roping cattle with heavy horn bases and adequate length, allowing cattle to be roped at an earlier age. The Braunvieh cows are being crossed on Angus bulls. These cattle are heavily muscled and produce excellent marbling.
